Overview
covr is an internet-connected smart water tank lid that monitors tank water levels and generates usage analytics accessible via smartphone. This policy applies to tankcovr.in, the covr mobile app, help center, and all associated services provided by Waltr Technologies (Kre38 Labs Pvt. Ltd.).
1. Information We Collect
A. Placing an Order
Contact Information: Email, first and last name, phone number, and comments
Payment Information: External payment gateways process transactions; we receive only buyer name, email, phone, and mailing address
B. Registering for the Mobile App
Users create accounts using valid Gmail addresses. Only name and email address are received from Google.
C. Information from Service Use
covr Device ID: Associated with user accounts upon device activation
Location Information: Collected to identify device setup location, prevent unauthorized use, and determine timezone.
D. Support Services
Personal information provided during support requests includes name, email, phone number, and mailing address.
E. Information from Other Sources
Information may be collected through third-party applications and social networks where users have made information public via privacy settings.
2. Third-Party Service Collection
Third-party providers may place cookies or use web beacons for analytics and targeted advertising. We cannot access or control these technologies. Payment processing uses third-party gateways
3. Third-Party Website Responsibility
This policy does not cover third-party websites linked within our services. Users should review third-party privacy policies independently.
4. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
A. How Personal Information is Used
i. Providing Products and Services:
Fulfilling requests, managing accounts, responding to inquiries, providing customer support, and delivering services.
ii. Administrative Purposes:
Measuring service interest, developing new products, verifying identity, managing accounts, processing payments, and enforcing Terms.
iii. Marketing Products and Services:
Providing information about offers and services via phone, mail, facsimile, or email as permitted by law. Users may opt out at any time.
iv. Research and Development:
Creating non-identifiable information for product optimization and development. Third-party survey providers may conduct research; responses remain voluntary.
v. Direct Marketing:
Periodic emails, newsletters, mailings, or calls about products, services, or special offers. Users may decline these communications.
vi. Services via Mobile Devices:
Collecting device identifiers, user settings, location information, carrier data, and operating system information. Mobile tools may store and transmit personal information to enable account access.
vii. Sharing Content with Friends:
Email addresses provided to share content are used only for that specific purpose with the user's assurance of recipient permission.
viii. Other Uses:
Personal information may be used for legitimate interests including direct marketing, research, anti-fraud protection, or other disclosed purposes.
B. Data Retention
We retain personal information as long as services are used or as necessary to fulfill collection purposes, provide services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable laws.
5. Information Use for Protection
A. Fraud and Illegal Activity Prevention
Personal and location information may be used to prevent fraud, misappropriation, infringements, identity theft, and misuse of services.
B. Information Disclosure
Information may be disclosed to government, law enforcement, or private parties as necessary to comply with legal requests, protect safety, address policy violations, investigate fraud or technical issues, or protect rights and property.
In transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, business closure, or bankruptcy, assets including collected information may transfer to third-party acquirers.
6. Account Deletion
To delete your account, open the covr app and go to Settings. Under Login & Account Information, tap Delete Account. You will receive a one-time confirmation link to your registered email address. Open that link and tap Delete Account to confirm. Once confirmed, your account and associated personal information will be permanently deleted. We will delete information promptly, though archived or backup copies may remain as required by law. New location information will no longer associate with personal information.
7. Communications and Opt-Out
A. Communications
Promotional newsletters and emails are periodically sent. Unsubscribe instructions appear in email footers. Billing and service update communications are necessary and cannot be declined.
B. Opt-Out Options
i. General:
Users may withdraw consent and opt out of processing by contacting help@tankcovr.in. Non-personal activity information may still be collected for non-interest-based advertising.
ii. Email and Telephone:
Unsubscribe links in email footers allow users to opt out within reasonable timeframes. Transaction-related emails continue. Non-promotional communications regarding policy updates cannot be declined. Do-not-call and do-not-mail lists process requests within 60 days or as required by law.
iii. Mobile Devices:
Push notification opt-out and location data collection opt-out are available through mobile device settings.
iv. Do Not Track:
We do not respond to DNT signals in web browsers.
8. Account Security Responsibility
Users must maintain password secrecy and use strong passwords. Compromised accounts require immediate password changes via login methods or contacting help@tankcovr.in. Users bear responsibility for email address accuracy, as it is used for service communications. We are not responsible for information transmitted due to user-provided incorrect email addresses.
9. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy. Changes post on tankcovr.in and the covr app, with email notification sent to the most recent provided address. Changes become effective twenty days after posting or email (whichever is later), except for legally required immediate changes.
Users objecting to changes may cease services and request personal information erasure. Information collected under the policy effective at collection time is governed accordingly.
10. Children's Privacy
Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from this age group. Upon learning of underage collection, we will promptly delete such information.
